Nokia: first Windows Phon launched this year in 6 European countries

According to declarations' of the vice-president of Nokia Europe, Germany, England, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands will be the first markets to accomodate Windows Phone.

If Nokia already implied that it intended to launch at least a model of Windows Phone this year, no precision filtered up to now.

However, according to Dutch site Al Butt Phons, Victor Saeijs, the vice-president of Nokia Europe, would have declared that the first models will arrive at the 4th quarter in 6 European countries.

Nothing in the USA

It acts of Germany, England, Spain, France, Italy and of the Netherlands. Saeijs would have in particular quoted the Netherlands, which have the highest rate of penetration of smartphones (80%), like a priority market.

The choice of Western Europe as head of bridge for the launching of Windows Phone is altogether logical insofar as Nokia enjoys a strong establishment there.

One will note all the same that Finland (country of origin of Nokia) misses debates, just like the United States where the manufacturer forever successful to bore. A spokesman of US Nokia A however declared in Venture Happy that he said himself trustful to see models also leaving this year.
Vis-a-vis results in strong fall, Nokia decided to accelerate its change, history to reassure investors frightened by the cast iron of the action of Finnish.

Let us recall that in the first Nokia quarter saw its share of market being inserted of 5,5 points over one year with 25,1%. It is the worst performance of the sector and the worst share of market of Nokia since the sales of mobiles are measured (1997).
Remain from now on to know if the duet Nokia-Windows Phone will be sufficient to give again oxygen with Finnish on the market of the smartphones, whereas the OS of Microsoft still seems to have evil to convince…
